In late September of this year, Unified Caring Association had the privilege of sending 1,000 Moonbud Feeling Cards and Dictionary sets to the Dream Center on Pine Ridge Reservation, So. Dakota. The Dream Center, run by a small staff and volunteers, serves hundreds of disadvantaged children from the Reservation every week, providing food, clothing, supplies and other items.
Families living on the Reservation live in impoverished conditions year round, lacking even the most basic of necessities. The Dream Center is a place where the children can feel nourished, cared for and hopeful for the future. The Moonbud Feeling Cards will help the children recognize and validate their feelings, leading to a sense of relief and understanding.
UCA is humbled and honored to provide the Moonbud Feeling Cards and Dictionary set as a tool to help the children of Pine Ridge Reservation express their feelings and hopefully unleash their dreams for the future.
