Taking Heart Knowing Horses Are in Sanctuary
The team at Humanity for Horses Sanctuary continues to be completely devoted to providing the best care possible for all the animals that call the sanctuary their forever home. Caring for over 600 large animals every day is an enormous undertaking. The animals that live there have their pastures cleaned daily, are fed twice a day, and enjoy the ongoing rotation of farrier, dental, and vet services. This care and commitment to adequately provide for all the needs of the animals requires well-maintained roads, water accessibility, hay storage, and vehicle maintenance which are just a few of the parameters needed to keep things running smoothly. This past year UCA co-sponsored the completion of the interior water system, increased fire safety measurements, and helped supplement ongoing operational improvements. Humanity for Horses takes heart in knowing the animals they have rescued will never again be abused or abandoned.
