If I could change one thing in the world to make it a more caring place, I would have people possess a more selfless heart and mindset. If people have a more caring outlook on life, we can work as a community to solve the evident problems in our local, national, and worldly communities. Take for example, a community service project. If an entire community joins in with the intent of helping and assisting the needy, children, animals, whatever the cause is, together with more hands involved, we can make a positive change, one problem at a time. Volunteering not only has a positive impact on the people and organization, it reshapes the way you view life as well. Volunteering provides the opportunity to meet new people, gain new experiences, and make a productive influence on the world around you. It is amazing to think what one person can do, imagine having an entire neighborhood supporting you. I have gained so much from my personal experiences with volunteering. I volunteer with the local pantry and the people there are so kind and have taught me so much. Volunteering with them, I have witnessed how they live an abundant life, filled with making the people around them happy. I strive to be like them, being a light in this dark world.

Possessing a dream and maintaining a passion will also help this world become a more caring place. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life,” Seek a career that fills you with passion and contributes to positive world change. If work environments were filled with people who do what they love and love what they do, economies will be more productive and spirited. Overall, people will be happier, more encouraged, and most importantly more caring. We can all admit smiling is contagious. If we all smiled a little bit more, maybe there would be a little more happiness in the world. Remaining humble and thankful for what we have will also make this world more compassionate. We are beyond blessed and have the ability to make a difference.

We need to continue the movement of Paying it Forward, which is responding to a person’s kindness to oneself by being kind to someone else. The little acts of kindness can go a long way. Holding open the door, giving someone a compliment, or even feeding the birds in a park. There is a saying, “Every act of kindness creates a ripple with no end”-unknown. There are over seven billion people on this planet, all capable of having a kind heart and spreading love instead of hate. What would this world look like without hate, crime, famine, war and anything negative? Well that sounds kind of like heaven, but that shouldn’t stop us from ignoring all of those problems. Let’s attempt to make this world a better place then what we found it. Love thy neighbor, be a friend, and be the positive change this world needs.
